Circus Bizarre is a weirdo synth metal band from Innsbruck (Austria), founded during the 2020 pandemic.
At the center is the charismatic and versatile singer Jasmin; the creative heart is Roland (Evenfall, Darkwell), who shapes the sound with dark harmonies, mechanical beats and theatrical dramaturgy; guitarist Moni and drummer Phylphy complete the human part of the band – the whole thing is rounded off by numerous synth elements.
Musically, the band combines driving grooves with melancholic melodies and a touch of bizarre theatricality – influences range from  Rob Zombie and Type 0 Negative to Nina Hagen.
Circus Bizarre’s flamboyant and colorful style is a real eye-catcher live. Supported by laser and UV elements, the band offers a complete audiovisual experience to the audience, even in smaller venues.
A recurring element is the annual release of a Halloween cover song including a video – the festival fits thematically perfectly with the direction and aesthetics of Circus Bizarre.

Alternative/Fantasy Bio

Once upon a time… one day, in a city whose name no one remembers today, a small troupe of showmen performed their circus show in a lonely cemetery – their audience consisted solely of the dead. The wind carried the strange sounds of the spectacle to a neighboring junkyard.

There, buried beneath wires and machine parts, a long-forgotten doll stirred. Briefly re-enlivened by the strange music, it dug itself out of the scrap and staggered out into the cemetery. She began to sing for the dead. Her voice was fragile, yet irresistible. She sang until the borrowed spark within her died out and she fell to the ground before the eyes of the circus troupe. When the showmen examined the doll, they found only a gaping hole where its heart should have been.

After some deliberation, the RINGMASTER decided to include the doll in the troupe.
That same night, the TINKERER crafted a mechanical heart and implanted it. It began to beat and revived the singing doll – however, it constantly needed to be fed new energy.

Since that night, the circus has been traveling the world, driven by the thunderous rhythms of the MACHINE WRANGLER and the puppet, as CARNIVAL BARKER lures unsuspecting souls into the circus tent with her siren song. There she tells of forbidden or lost love, of science and witchcraft, of adventures and of death itself – spun from fragments of past lives, interwoven with splinters of bitter truth.

Once you enter the tent, you never fully return – a part of you belongs to the circus forever.
