Founded in São Paulo in 2024, Downshifter features Angel Sberse (vocals), Renato Haboryni (guitars), Adilson Porto (bass), and Bill Santos (drums).

With a heavy and contemporary sound, the band blends modern metal influences with intense lyrics inspired by real-life experiences, spiritual conflicts, and social reactions.

Downshifter stands out for balancing aggression, melody, and storytelling, building a strong and authentic identity within the Brazilian metal scene.

Following the release of the singles “Ashes,” “The Bless of Decay,” and most recently “The Healing,” the band expanded its presence with the official music video for “Ashes.”

The band released their full-length debut album titled “Phantom Nation” was released in May, 2026.
