Godfrost is a Tokyo-based gothic/industrial metal project led by Frost, combining beautiful melodies, heavy guitars, dark electronics and a haunting gothic atmosphere.
Rather than being limited to a single genre, Godfrost explores the space between industrial, gothic and metal, incorporating both aggressive guitar-driven sounds and delicate, atmospheric passages.
Godfrost features two female vocalists: American vocalist Luna Midnight and Japanese vocalist Sara. Each vocalist brings her own distinct personality and character to the music. Their contrasting voices and stage presence create a powerful combination, particularly in Godfrost’s live performances.
Through their interaction on stage, Godfrost creates a dark, gothic and theatrical atmosphere, with performances that feel like a story unfolding before the audience.
Godfrost released the new EP Hanging Doll worldwide through U.S. label Brutal Records on September 18, 2026.
The EP features Luna Midnight and Sara on vocals, and was produced and mixed by Lee Popa, known for his work with artists including Ministry, KMFDM, Killing Joke, Tool and Korn.
Following its release, Hanging Doll reached No. 2 on the Japanese iTunes Metal Albums Chart, improving on the No. 3 position achieved by Godfrost’s debut album.
