LADY JANE GREY was formed in 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Friends Lizzy Blair, Bruce Rohr, and Shago bonded over their shared love of Black Sabbath, despite all having different influences. LADY JANE GREY was founded on the belief that diversity in inspiration breeds the most unique ideas. Blair being a published poet who draws most from the 90s Seattle grunge scene, Shago from 80s rock and roll, and Rohr from 70s metal. In 2025, their lineup was completed with the introduction of Darren Hawkins, a classically trained gospel drummer; and Drew Dussault, an avid jam-guitarist.
Their debut EP “Count Your Days” was released October 31st, 2025, establishing their own unique sound in bluesy guitars, soaring vocals, heavy rhythm, and lyrics rife with gothic imagery.
