Megin Giörd is a Gothic Doom Metal band from Santiago, Chile. Emerging from the southernmost shadows of the world. the project forges crushing heavy riffs, haunting melancholic melodies, subtle yet profoundly emotive female vocals, and a dense mystical atmosphere steeped in mythology, magic, mother earth. and darkness.

Founded and led by guitarist and main composer Mauricio Molina (|gus Mror), alongside the captivating and ethereal voice of Pamela Molina (Pam Megin Giörd).

Megin Giörd crafts vast, epic, and atmospheric soundscapes that feel both arcane and timeless. The band's name, drawn from Old Norse and meaning "Belt of Power" --the mythical airdle of Thor that doubled his strength-, embodies their essence: restrained might, unbreakable will. and the inexorable weaving of fate.

After years of patiently forging their vision in the shadows, Megin Giörd released their debut EP "Weaving the Threads of Fate" in 2023 through Compulsive Abuse Records. Six tracks of pure ritual that drag the listener into a realm of runes. storms, melodic beauty, and forgotten gods that added the single " Breath Of Wind In Your Ear" Recorded and mastered in Chile. the EP bears the cold, imposing weight of the far south and has steadily reached devoted listeners worldwide.
