Stockholm-based Nocean blends melodic metal with gothic, cinematic drama and powerful live shows. Since forming in 2014, the band has released three albums—one via a record label—and toured Europe multiple times, with appearances at festivals such as Sweden Rock Festival and Malmöfestivalen. With their own record and production company, Nocean broke new ground with the concept album Aurora: The Weight of a Shadow, presented through a unique tour across 18 Swedish theatre stages. There, the band wove together gothic animation, a bespoke light show, and live performance into an immersive experience.

As one of the Swedish metal scene’s most exciting underground acts, Nocean has grown its audience outside the traditional circuit — on stages where the genre is rarely represented. The recent singles “Break of Spell” (2023), “From the Shallows” (2024), and “Insight of Valeria” (2025) continue to explore Nocean’s fictional fantasy world, as the band now works toward its fourth album.
