"Queen of Distortion" was founded in 2018 as a female-fronted metal band in Brunswick, Lower Saxony, Northern Germany.

Their diverse musical style draws from classic metal, refreshingly expanded with progressive crossover elements, and extends to melodic guitar duels familiar and loved from power and melodic metal. The experienced musicians convincingly implement their coherent concept both visually and in their stage show. Their energetic live shows are metallic spectacles, celebrated in "Her Majesty's Throne Room," and inspires metal enthusiasts of all stripes.

"Queen of Distortion" has been bringing their debut album "Checkmate" to stages across Germany since summer 2021 and is currently working on material for their next album.

Who is the Queen?

"Queen of Distortion" is a fictional character in a story that is told and continued from album to album. The "Queen" seeks out a singer for her incarnation and gathers a court of support around her.

With the band featuring a powerful female lead vocalist, the "Queen of Distortion" leaves no wish unfulfilled for metal fans.
