Talia Hoit is an international recording artist from the USA. She has been called a soprano siren and symphonic sorceress, challenging traditional genre boundaries with dark, introspective, metaphorical songs that encompass grief, love, loss, existential crisis, and the full depths of
universal human experience. With an angelic voice, she draws listeners in like a siren to crash upon the rocks on the waves of emotion through the music. Talia is an enigmatic singer, adventurous, bold and imaginative, an unconventional maverick, free-spirited, passionate, and
expressive.
Her music is full of story, often melancholy and poetic, creating thoughtful and powerful emotional experiences, embracing dualities such as heaviness and transparency, power and vulnerability, life and death, love and loss, light and darkness. She has contributed to bands for the last two decades and also has a collection of solo works. Classically trained, and collaborating with acclaimed musicians and producers from Europe, UK, and America, she is bringing more of her most personal and intimate solo songs to life.
Through these, she delivers an expressive, haunting and emotional musical journey from intimate piano confessionals to epic symphonic metal catharsis. She began playing the piano at the age of 5, studied classical piano for her bachelor’s degree at a conservatory of music, performed as keyboardist and songwriter in the band AnaDies, sung as a classical soprano in the symphonic chorus of the Colorado Springs Chorale and in the classical Chamber Singers of the Colorado Springs Chorale, and is also the lead vocalist, orchestrator, and songwriter in the symphonic band Beyond Forgiveness, and the keyboardist of the melodic black metal band Ob Nixilis.
Talia made waves as a solo artist through her debut album, “Oceans”, which was released in November of 2024, receiving worldwide recognition as a solid first offering in the genre. Reviewers placed her voice as deserving of mention alongside symphonic metal greats such as Sharon den Adel and Tarja Turunen. Oceans was followed by a
bonus track CD single release, supporting the single “Beautiful” off the album, with 9 additional bonus tracks including her previously released non-album music video singles, two new yet unreleased tracks, and 3 acoustic piano/vocal/orchestra versions of some of her songs, highlighting the transcendent nature of her songwriting to
surpass genre-defining limits. In 2026, she is unleashing a post-apocalyptic battle and triumph of the heart through love, loss, and existential crisis in her second full length solo album, “When The Skies Fall”.
“Most of my inspiration to write songs is from whatever is going on in my life, things that I experience or think about, and then write something to creatively express my thoughts and feelings. For most of my life I have written poems and songs just for myself, as private solo piano confessionals, no refined or produced or even originally intended to be a commercial effort, it’s more like my way of processing life experiences and the world around me. But as I wrote
and recorded and released music with other bands, I realized I had so much more to say in my own personal songs, that other people might be able to resonate with or find personal meaning and connection in, or just to enjoy listening to. So I embarked on this journey as a solo artist to work with producers to bring to life as many of my personal and intimate songs as possible, to be able to share with the world.” ~Talia Hoit
