Formed in 2016, Tessia is a progressive and melodic death metal band from the rugged terrain of Bergen, Norway. Fusing brutal growls with soaring clean vocals, Tessia balances intensity and atmosphere through a sound that is both uncompromising and dynamic.

Drawing inspiration from acts such as Arch Enemy, Jinjer and Lorna Shore while maintaining a distinct identity rooted in contrasts and storytelling, the band’s latest concept work The Cataclysm saga extends beyond music into literature and visual art. It forms an immersive universe that explores choices, consequences and apocalyptic symbolism.

On stage, Tessia has built a reputation for delivering relentless and high-energy performances, whether at club venues or major festivals. A defining moment came in 2024 when the band won Wacken Metal Battle Norway and performed at Wacken Open Air before 10,000 metalheads, an achievement that marked their emergence as one of Norway’s most promising new metal acts.
