I have three more reviews to write over the coming month too, so keep your eyes peeled for a deep dive into Waking the Sleeper “Frequencies”, Crumbling Ghost “Four” and Black Spikes “Ydos”.
Week 14 4th - 10th July
Its been a steady week this past seven days with another seven bands joining the FVOMAR family and my Slow Goat album review getting published by Metal Epidemic on Tuesday (check out the link on our Album/EP & Gig reviews page). So, welcome onboard to Argonaut, Utopian Tempest, Temtris, Slow Goat, Sapient Scar, Tristyn and Tessia, it’s great to have you with us. I’m still not generating any real income from this venture but I am positive in the fact that this brand is growing and will become a source of information for many in the future.
Week 13 27th June - 3rd July
In between a trip to the hospital for an X-Ray, bloods and having fluid drained off my left lung I still managed to add another four bands to the FVOMAR family and write a review for the upcoming debut EP from Portland based Psychedelic Doom and Stoner rock band Slow Goat. So, a very warm welcome to Tales of Memory, Witchbound, Alice in Thunderland and Umlaut Overload for bringing up the big 100+ total of bands who have now signed up for our Meet the Artists page during the first three months since the website launched. Hopefully once the World Cup is over things will pick up once again but as the old saying goes slow and steady wins the race.
Week 12 20th - 26th June
Thankfully the pace has slowed down a little this week because we are experiencing a supercharged heatwave in the UK at the moment, that aside I still managed to add eight more bands to the Meet the Artists page. So I would like to extend a warm welcome (very warm at the moment) to Illusions of Grandeur, HEKHA, All In Mind, Bitter Sweet Smile, Ewiniar, Among Your Gods and Flame or Redemption, it’s really great to have you guys as members of the FVOMAR family. I also published my review of the excellent all killer no filler album “Reflection” by Finnish hard rock band Crimson Crow, check out the review on our Album/EP and Gig review page and give it a listen. You wont regret it, its a banger. A second week with zero revenue.
Week 11 13th to 19th June

Hence I would like to welcome Rakinua, Valkyrie’s Fire, CLEO and the PATRAS, Knock Me Out, Nocean, Lode Star, Obsidion, Rebel Queens, Shio and Megin Giord all onboard, you guys rock! My review of “Heaven’s Falling,”the superb debut album from Shadowborne is also now available on our Album/EP and Gig reviews page. Sadly zero revenue came in.
Week 10 6th to 12th June
It’s been a slow week all in all but I have managed to add another four bands to our Meet the Artists page along with creating a brand new page purely for female promoters. I would therefore like to say a big welcome to Throwing Distance, Starkill, Divine Martyr, GeminiiDRAGON, Christina Avila Artist & Band Promotions and Crazy Bat Promotions. I attended a great gig on Tuesday night to see the awesome Starbenders, Vain Wild and superb Bristol based band CLEO and the PATRAS at the Fleece in Bristol so please read my gig review a read. After my great night out last Friday evening watching Not Now Norman, Knoww and Avicide at Nelly’s Retro & Vintage in Stratford-Upon-Avon I have added a gig review to our reviews page, so please check it out. I have also added two brand new T shirt designs to our Merchandise Shop so we now have a metal vocalist, a hard rock vocalist, an industrial metal vocalist and a death metal vocalist with many more designs to come. I have partially written one album review and added another couple to my upcoming review list. I would also like to welcome The Binding Divide, Chaos 8, Mandy Manala, Black Rose Rebellion, Edge of Destiny, Crimson Crow, and Nordblut to the FVOMAR family. We now have a grand total of 75 featured Artists/bands on our Meet the Artists page. Although I am barely scratching a living I couldn’t be happier with how this feature is going.
Week 8 23rd - 29th May
Its been a hectic week in terms of new music releases with Thursday and Friday being particularly busy. We have added another eight bands to our “Meet the Artists” page and updated Rising Almas information. I would therefore like to say welcome to the FVOMAR family to Rockateurs, Parhelyon, Sucker Trap, A Sound of Thunder, Midgard, Lyia Meta, Crusade of Bards, and The Crescents Call, it’s really great to have you guys as members of our community. I had a great night out at Nelly’s Retro & Vintage in Stratford-Upon-Avon on Friday night watching three fantastic UK based bands for only a tenner courtesy of Crazy Bat Promotions. I have just added a new page for Album/EP & Gig reviews where you can read all about it. This coming week I am expecting delivery of the first two test prints for my new T shirt designs so I can get them added to the “Merchandise Shop” as well as writing a couple of album reviews for upcoming releases. Until next time.
Week 7 16th - 22nd May
It’s been a bit of a quiet week in terms of new music releases but we have still managed to add another five artists/bands to our “Meet the Artists” page. Therefore, I would like to welcome Arytiuel, Witchcraft, Carved, Mickey Lyxx and FEDRA to the FVOMAR family, its great to have you all onboard. Week 5 has been super busy with another eleven bands joining the FVOMAR family. So a big thank you to Syteria, Crimson Steel, Beautiful Skeletons, Hemloch, Eden on Fire, Apolinara, PRETEXT, Gather the Lost, Aonia, Angels in Electric Chairs and Oskrnavitelj for all your support! I have added some more great upcoming/new albums to the Record Store and been doing lots of promotion across all our socials. I also received a lovely video short from Maskeratt with their vocalist wearing one of our T shirts which I have had fun sharing. I have also sent my next two designs over to my T shirt printers to do some test prints ready for launch next month. Fingers crossed I’m feeling positive for the future at the moment. Catch you next week.
Week 4 25th April - 1st May
Week four has been pretty busy. We have now had just over a thousand different visitors to the website which is great news with many of them visiting several times. We have added another eight bands to our “Meet the Artists” page so a big thank you to The Estes Method, Wolfsmoke, Alhena, Terror Parade, Epinikion, Evig Natt, Manigance, and Medusa Virus, for joining the FVOMAR family. I have revamped the “Meet the Artists” page too, giving each artist/band their own individual page now which can be accessed by clicking on the artist/bands logo in the header page. I have also been to a great gig this weekend seeing rising UK bands DACARA and Phoenix Lake for the first time at The Exchange in Bristol. I enjoyed the show immensely but the journey either side of it was not so much fun. Who knew there were two Exchanges in Bristol (well I do now after google maps directed me to the wrong one first) and then my train journey home was disrupted by emergency engineering work meaning a long diversion and late arrival back at Gloucester only to find that the last bus had already left. Never mind, onwards and upwards until next week.
Week 3 18th - 24th April
Week three has been a bit more relaxed but we have added another ten more artists and bands to out “Meet the Artists” page. So, I would like to say a big thankyou to Solitude Within, Crowsilver, Rising Alma, ERSEDU, ACORISE, Epinikion, Queen of Spades, Black Roze, Behind the Veil and Levinia for joining the FVOMAR family. Sadly no T shirt sales this week but I have managed to add more upcoming album/EP releases to our Record Store and a couple of gigs to our Ticket office if you fancy a night out. I have also published album reviews for Lynx “Trinity of Suns”, Black Ivar “Lovely House” and Demonessa “Wild ‘n’ Loud”. I have also added a ‘pay what you want’ cost to our “Services” page so clients can pay as little or as much as they like for what we do. Lots more to do so check out the blog next week for the latest news.
Week 2 11th -17th April
Another busy week. We have added five more artists and bands to our “Meet the Artists” page with several more in the pipeline. Hence, I would like to say a big thankyou to Gabrielle Driessen, Dedmon 7 Deadly, DEMOLATOR, Messmorality and Maskeratt for joining the FVOMAR family. I have now sold two T shirts after sorting out a few teething problems with shipping costs and available destinations leaving me still a little nervous on if the shop works properly or not (so, please reach out if you have any issues with it). I have added a record store where you can buy recent releases or pre-order upcoming new releases and a ticket office where you can pick up tickets for upcoming gigs. I hope to add a lot more choice to both of these in the future. TTFN.
Week 1 4th -10th April
It’s been a very busy first week. We have had twelve artists and bands sign up to feature on our “Meet the Artists” page so I would like to say a big thank you to Patricia Pons, Mothertomb, Cobra Cult, ARDENITE, Bright Black, July 15th, Netherdred, Eden Age Undercover, Her Fury, GenarationZ, Violet Blend and Mysthaven for all believing in me. I haven’t sold any T shirts yet so I’m still poor and a million pounds short of my first million. I’ve learnt quite a lot about constructing a website now but there is still lots to learn and it doesn’t always take easily or stick in the fried brain of this old rocker.
